Oshkosh update: Airventure 2010 has come and gone but will be well remembered by those who attended. Many of you may remember an incredible video of Airventure 2009 on YouTube. If not, you can see it here. This terrific video was created by a YouTube user who goes by the username "Slickhutto". Well, Slickhutto has been at it again. His video "Beyond this Historic Brown Gate" is from his 2010 Airventure experiences. It is phenomenal!

He has also broken his raw footage into 10 minute segments and named them "10 minutes of Airventure 2010". Search for that on www.YouTube.com and watch some great imagery. There are at least 4 segments and he may add more.

On a local note, Chris Christiansen, whose one-off aircraft "Savor" won top prize at Copperstate last year, made an appearance at Airventure. Chris threw a ferry tank in the back seat and made KOSH in two 4-hour legs. The aircraft, which was largely built at Phoenix Regional Airport, took home a Bronze Lindy in the Plans Built category. Additionally, Lorna Hawley's father, Larry Boehme, took home a Bronze Lindy in the World War II Military Trainer/Liaison category with his Stinson Reliant. As you'll remember, the aircraft was restored at GossHawk Aviation and weighed by our own Weight and Balance Boys. A list of all winners can be found here. Congratulations to all!

See you all next month!
